FAITH  FACT FOR WEEK 2

The Feast of the Assumption
This is the dogma that the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken (assumed) body and soul into heaven at the end of her earthly life.  Mary’s Assumption is a sharing in the Resurrection of her Son and an anticipation of the resurrection of others.  The Assumption is celebrated liturgically by a Feast Day on 15 August.

Class Happenings   ~   Room 2

It has been a busy start to the term with new children starting school.
We are showing the new children our routines and teaching them our games and activities.

Father Hook came to see us last week, and we had lots of fun singing with him and his guitar.  We love singing 'Aroha is love' and 'Awesome God' and look forward to Father coming to visit us again soon.

This week we are learning to read aloud to an audience.  We have been learning to stand still while we hold the book, make sure our voice is loud and clear, remember to look at our audience sometimes, and use expression to make our reading sound like talking.  We are also learning to be a good audience, by making sure we are nice and quiet, and looking at the person reading.
