Dear Parents

What an interesting week. I volunteered (I think) to pool assist at swimming by actually taking some groups in the juniors rather than wandering around as I normally do. As the week has gone on, I have hidden in my office hoping the bus will leave me here.
In all honesty I have enjoyed the experience and know for a certainty that all the children in my groups now swim better than me.

PALM SUNDAY MASS ~ Sunday 16th March. This Mass is the first school / family Mass for the year and all children are expected to attend. The children are to line up in the foyer at 10.15 a.m. in MUFTI (due to the picnic afterwards).
ALL ROOM 5 PUPILS ARE TO MEET IN THE FOYER AT 10.05 A.M. PLEASE

EASTER LITURGY ~ The school children will present the “Last Supper” portion of the “Easter Story” on Thursday 20 March at 2.15pm in the hall. We will not be performing the other parts of the story due to the time commitment with swimming sessions currently underway. Parents are welcome to come and join us for this shortened presentation.

SWIMMING STORIES FROM ROOM 2

I went on the bus to Splash Palace. I went in the wave pool. I blew bubbles in the water. I felt brave swimming in the pool. I splashed my feet. I splashed in the water and relaxed like a starfish. I put my whole body in the water. I felt brave because I swam by myself.
By Natalya

I put my whole body under the water. I felt happy because I have never done that before.
By Macy

I blew bubbles and swam on my back and I went down to get something and I went on a bus and I swam on my tummy.
By Portia

I put my head under the water. I felt nervous because there were lots of people there.
By William

I went in the pool. I was happy. The first time I was in the pool I was excited.
By Nathan

I put my face under the water and moved it and I went on my back and I blew bubbles.

The weather has been kind for us again this week with the House Colour Day, Zone Athletics  and touch being held.

As mentioned below we have good reason to be proud of our children’s behaviour and participation this week.

I would also like to thank Mrs Lieshout and other staff members for making the House Day such a success.

I hope all the hair colour comes out!!!

Good luck to any parents taking part in the Motatapu Icebreaker Mountain bike race in Wanaka this weekend.
