Dear Parents

 

Our prayers are with Miss Kirkwood this week as she recovers from her back operation.

Many thanks to the parents who have been able to assist at swimming over the past 2 weeks.  Your help has been appreciated.

We have also been lucky with the weather, hope it continues over the Easter break.  A reminder school re-opens on Wednesday 26^th.

Congratulations to the new PTA office bearers.

 

Holy Week is the most important week of the Christian Faith, second to no other in the church’s calendar year.

It begins with Palm Sunday and concludes with the period called the ‘Easter Tridium’, meaning ‘a space of three days’, from Holy Thursday evening to Evening Prayer on Easter Sunday.  Our parish service times are as follows:

ASSEMBLY TIMES  ~  From next week Assemblies will be at 2.15 p.m. on Fridays.

 

COMMUNITY CERTIFICATES

AUSTRALIAN TESTS FOR YEAR 4, 5 & 6 ONLY  ~  Please fill out the slip if your child would like to take part in the various tests.

 

SOUTHLAND ATHLETICS SPORTS

As yet we have not received the confirmed names of children who are entered for Southland Athletics.  We have a fair idea from our own results and will begin some training at school next week.

 

JUNIOR SCHOOLS SOUTHLAND SWIMMING CHAMPS  ~  SUNDAY 13^TH APRIL

With these swimming champs coming up, we will be looking for very accomplished swimmers to take part. 

If your child is interested and capable, please let the office know.

 

HOCKEY SLIPS  ~  Please return the permission slip on Wednesday if your child is wanting to play Hockey.  We need to enter our teams by the end of next week.

NETBALL FOR YEAR 5 & 6

If your child is intending to play Netball, please let Christine know by next Friday.  The coaches are keen to get practices underway.
