Dear Parents
This
has been a busy week with the many activities and it continues tonight with the
disco and our final term assembly tomorrow afternoon.
I
thank you all for your support this term.
We have had lots of parents helping with sports, cultural and other
school events and I wish to thank you again for your work with our children.
Thank
you also to the parents and community who have supported the class Masses this
term. It is always great to have you join us.
Unfortunately
we farewell Ms Hoskin today. We thank her for her input into our school and
children and wish her luck with her new venture.
Our
prayers are with the O’Connor family.

Buxton.

FAITH FACT FOR WEEK 9 ~ People
of God
A biblical image for the Church popularised by the Secon

of God emphasises that we are saved, not as indivicuals, but as a community –

prophet, priest and king.

Room
1 Class Happenings
On Tuesday we finished
off our final science rotation. Here are some children's recounts of the
day.
I made pudding
yesterday, and I felt happy because I went to Room 2 and broke ice cubes.
I did dancing raisins and it was fun. We got a coke bottle and put
lollies in it. It went up to the tree and it was very fun. Oliver
We did some
science, we went with our house teams. My favourite thing was making the
bag explode, and I made coke explode. The less mentos you put in, the
higher the coke goes. The more mentos you put in, the lower the coke
goes. I felt happy. Alex
We did science in
the classrooms. We exploded coke bottles and we made pudding, and sherbet
and we made dancing raisins. My favourite thing was exploding the coke
bottle because it went higher than the tree.
Rohan
Yesterday
to finish off our science week rotations, we had 'Kids Can Cook' come and
show how science can be in the kitchen. It was great to see the children
giving things a taste. Tyler from Room 2 made an excellent sous chef,
and I can see that we might have some budding chefs in the making!
