Sacred Heart School Newsletters

12 July

Dear Parents

Thank you to all the parents for your help and support this term. It has been a very busy and productive term culminating in last night’s performance of “Let It Shine”.
Next term promises to be just as busy with the Poly Festival, Netball Tournament, Convent Cup, Gymnastic Festival, Science in a Van, and Kids Can Cook Kitchen. We also have enrolled for a number of Kiwi Sport initiatives.
As well we will be doing the ‘Keeping Ourselves Safe’ programme, which involves a parent meeting and an update of our school’s policies around health and safety. More information later.
I wish all your children a happy, safe and warm break. After the last couple of weeks practice and our performances this week, they deserve it.

Let It Shine
What a great show it was?
A huge thanks to Mrs Stupples for her vision and drive and to the rest of the school staff for their commitment to make it as special as possible for all the children.
Thank you also to all the sewers, cleaners, ushers, dressers, recorders, drivers, movers, makers and painters who helped us put this together. As with all our school events, without your assistance they would not be possible. I hope you all sat back over the past 2 nights, proud of what we have achieved.
Once again our productions bring out the best in our children and throws up a few stars of the future. Well done to all the children - we are very proud of all of you.

Week 10: In the words of Pope Francis...

Crossing the threshold of faith means celebrating life, allowing ourselves to be transformed so that we become one with Jesus at the table of the Eucharist celebrated in community, and being there with our hand and our heart busy working on the great project of the Kingdom: all the rest will be given us as well (Mt 6:33).
